Isle’s Managing Director for North America, Cristina Ahmadpour, was featured in the Mazars 2019 U.S. Water Industry Outlook, where she shared her perspective related to the areas of opportunity in the next three years for the water utility sector and how innovation continues to be central to utility operations.

On 26 February 2019 the 3rd European Chemistry Partnering (ECP) will take place in Frankfurt. For the first time at the ECP there will be interdisciplinary lectures, including “Water & Chemistry”. The Isle Group, which specializes in the selection of innovative technologies and implementation consulting, will be presenting water-based innovations from six nations.

Isle’s global consultants have been delivering strategic studies, technology horizon scans and TAG events to over 160 water and wastewater utilities. In the past few years we have started working for leading industrial companies too. Firstly, by starting the industrial TAG events across Europe. Most recent iTAG meeting took place in Bologna Italy and upcoming 9th edition will be organised in Brussels.

Blanca Antizar, Director of Consultancy, Europe at Isle, has been granted a Fellowship of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.

Our last inspirational project meeting took place in Munich in July 2018 where the Bavarian Environment Agency warmly welcomed all project partners. We got an educational insight into the Bavarian School of Administraion (BVS), visited one of Munich’s wastewater treatment plants and learned about the work of the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (dvgw). This time last month we shared entries of those staff members who wished to be launched into space* to experience both weightlessness and G-Force, accompanied by the company SpaceBuzz. Shaunna, Isle’s Business and Marketing manager, won this unique opportunity and rocketed off to Bordeaux, one of three places around the world that partake in such daredevil flights. Elemental Excelerator, a start-up commercialization program, is partnering with Isle Utilities, a global innovation forum, to focus on innovation in the water sector in Hawaii and the Pacific region. Together, the two organizations will convene water-sector leaders and industry experts in Hawaii to identify challenges faced by water utilities, engineers, and policymakers.
