Water Innovation Living Lab (WILL)

WILL is an accelerator program for the Water Sector. It aims to accelerate the rate of innovation development and adoption against the challenges that the sector is facing. If you have an early-stage business or are looking to start one, that can contribute to solving the challenges we are investigating, WILL can help you!

How does it work?

WILL is made possible from a collaboration of stakeholders across the European Water industry. WILL offers startups:

An intense 16 week training course to take you through the core activities of building a business e.g. developing your value proposition and business model, seeking finance, pitching etc.

Participants are entitled to 1-2-1 coaching on topics of their choice. You will be assigned an expert that best aligns to the topics you wish to cover. Each coaching session can be with a different coach and vary in length with a maximum of 2 hours and a minimum of 1 hour.

Systematically evaluate candidate technology

Opportunities to pitch and meet with potential customers, channel partners and investors through a series of events run by WILL and its members.

A major advantage of the WILL program is the network of key industry practitioners. This will not just broaden your network of contacts in the industry but also provide you with unrivalled access to their collective expertise.

Who can participate in WILL?

There is no single path for a company’s growth, but WILL exists to support those most closely aligned to the stage below:

Selection Criteria

The application form highlights those questions that are assessed.

These questions will be reviewed by our panel who will be looking to determine:

  • Those that can demonstrate commitment to their venture
  • Those whose ventures hold commercial promise within the water sector
  • Those whose ventures make the biggest contribution to the challenges we publish

Entries will be judged by experts from Isle Utilities. Isle utilities holds experts across multiple topic domains so you can be confident that your application will be assessed by someone experienced within the relevant field for your solution.

Once each expert has assessed the entries a moderation meeting will be held across all judges to remove any bias and ensure the most promising applicants are selected.
