UK TAG 35

The 35th TAG meeting took place in London on the 4th June 2014. Aqualogy, Anglian Water, Welsh Water, Scottish Water, Severn Trent Water, Northumbrian Water, Southern Water, Thames Water, United Utilities, Wessex Water and Xylem were in attendance.

The technologies which presented on the day included plastic pipe leak detection, in-pipe hydropower technology, WWTP control and optimisation, algal- based wastewater treatment and phosphorous removal and capture. Isle also gave a technology trial update. This included updates on the progress current of and future collaborative trials and horizon scan studies that have involved recent successful TAG technologies that water companies have indicated an interest in moving forwards. Overall the day was a success with interest in all the technologies from the water companies. In particular, a demonstration on site is being arranged for the plastic pipe leak detection in the coming months.
