Pete Schoemann is a seasoned water utility manager and civil engineer with over 30 years of design, construction, operations/maintenance, and emergency preparedness experience. Key projects include the Los Vaqueros Reservoir Project which was awarded the 1999 ASCE Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award. Pete’s legacy at the Contra Costa Water District includes managing the seismic improvement program and water treatment plant upgrades, integration of technology improvements to the operations and maintenance systems, and recent service as the District’s Emergency Operations Director during the Covid 19 pandemic and Northern California wild fire emergencies.
