Mario Tavera is an engineer who graduated from Politecnico of Milan (Italy). He also holds a Master’s degree in Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering, one in Project Management and a Ph.D. in Hydraulic Engineering from the Politecnica of Valencia (Spain).

He has over 19 years of experience in the water sector, water resources management, business development and project management. He has led and participated in projects in Latin America and the Caribbean related to the water sector, its governance and all technical and commercial aspects related to the efficiency improvement of water supply systems.

Some of the countries where he has worked are Italy, Spain, Peru, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Mexico. He worked in the NRW Project Reduction in the Bahamas since 2013 and from 2018 until October 2022 as Project Manager.

He joined Isle Italy in November 2022.
