Heather Kerr (PhD)

Heather has 10 years of experience in academia and consultancy and has contributed to the delivery of a range of projects, including horizon scans, due diligence reports, literature reviews and technical reports. Having recently moved from the UK office where she worked as a Technology Consultant, she now resides in New Zealand. She works on APAC’s Bulk Water Innovation Program (BWIP) and as part of the W-Lab team in the APAC office. Heather’s technical expertise is in circular economy, project design and management, stakeholder engagement and due diligence.

Previous to joining Isle, Heather was a researcher completing her PhD and PDRA, which both focused on the use of water treatment residuals from potable water treatment as soil amendments for a range of applications including urban flood defences. She continues to work towards building circular economy routes for this waste.

During her time at university, among a multitude of extracurricular activity, Heather picked up rugby and competed professionally in the Allianz Premier 15s competition for Wasps FC, having gained 23 caps for England.
