Isle Utilities & Elemental Excelerator Partnering to Host Pacific Water Innovation Workshop
Tuesday, 9 October 2018
Elemental Excelerator, a start-up commercialization program, is partnering with Isle Utilities, a global innovation forum, to focus on innovation in the water sector in Hawaii and the Pacific region. Together, the two organizations will convene water-sector leaders and industry experts in Hawaii to identify challenges faced by water utilities, engineers, and policymakers. This two-part Pacific Water Innovation Workshop series will give water managers insights, decision-making tools, and a network to advance innovation water management practices in the region.
Attendees at the first of two Pacific Water Innovation workshops will participate in peer-to-peer dialogue, hear about transformational programs within the water sector, gain insights on new technology implementation, and cross-pollinate ideas to support innovation across the ecosystem. The second will jumpstart new technology adoption through presentations from hand-selected companies that directly address the region’s greatest challenges. Participants will have the opportunity to network with the curated group of innovators, and identify steps to co-implement successful commercialization programs.
“I’m incredibly excited to work with the Elemental Excelerator, a strong partner and resource for the water sector in Hawaii and the pacific region. There are very few challenges today that have not been faced elsewhere and I’m privileged to be part of driving a peer network that can transform the way water utilities and stakeholders learn about and engage credible technical innovations.” - Cristina Ahmadpour, President, Isle Inc.
“Our goal is two-fold: to help scale innovation in this sector and positively impact the communities we work in. Elemental Excelerator will continue to connect global and local partners to transformational technology. With Isle’s partnership and sector engagement, we aim to help solve the most pressing operational and treatment challenges in the water sector.” - Danya Hakeem, Portfolio Manager for Agriculture and Water, Elemental Excelerator
