Ana Laura has three years of experience as a civil engineer, including site and land development, municipal engineering, and construction services in the greater Houston metropolitan area. As part of her role, she has collaborated on the design phase of a designing a 2 million square foot, LEED-certified structure and designed an expansion for the onsite wastewater treatment facility. Raised in an agricultural area of Guatemala, Ana Laura’s upbringing instilled a passion for sustainability and sustainable development, which led her to acquire Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) credentials.
Ana Laura holds a Biological and Agricultural engineering degree from the University of Texas A&M. For her capstone project, she collaborated with the utility department of Cuenca, Ecuador, to rehabilitate a wastewater treatment facility serving one of their communities.
