TAG technologies win Top 3 at CIWEM and IOW Innovation Showcase
December 2010
CIWEM (The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management) and IOW (The Institute of Water) showcased eight new water technologies at the impressive Council House in Birmingham on the 8th December. The evening was hosted by Andy Smith, Severn Trent Water's Director of Water Services, and each company was given an 8-minute slot to present their innovative product to the audience. The audience was then asked to vote on the most innovative technology.

The three winners were:
1st place: Rob Stephenson from Mouchel, who presented the MeterLogik technology for monitoring water meter operation
2nd place: Patrick Carragher from CM Ventures, who presented their Elimbac mixed-oxidant technology for wastewater disinfection
3rd place: Brian Hickland from Uhrig, who presented the Therm-Liner technology for recovering heat from sewers
These three winners will enter into the Institute of Water's national innovation awards.
