Isle has made it to the shortlist for the 2018 Water Industry Achievement Awards

Isle Utilities and Aimen have made it to the shortlist of 2018 Water Industry Achievement Awards finalists – Category: Sludge & Resource Recovery of the Year with the H2020 INCOVER project.

INCOVER (Innovative Eco-Technologies for Resource Recovery from Wastewater) is a three-year collaborative project coordinated by Aimen and funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme (€7.2M), starting in June 2016 and ending in May 2019.

The project consortium is made up of 18 partner organisations from seven countries including Spain and Germany, where three demonstration sites are located. Isle is leading the development of strategies to facilitate a rapid market access of INCOVER solutions.

Considering the current global water scarcity and the expensive operation and maintenance cost of wastewater treatment, the INCOVER concept has been designed to move wastewater treatment from being primarily a sanitation technology towards a bio-product recovery industry and a recycled water supplier.

INCOVER is therefore developing innovative and sustainable added-value technologies for a resource recovery-based treatment of wastewater, using smart operation monitoring and control methodologies.

Being recognised as a Water Industry Awards 2018 finalist is a huge achievement! The Water Industry Achievement Awards are THE event in the water sector’s calendar, and are highly prized within the industry. They recognise outstanding innovation and best practice across the industry, no matter the size of the company or the scale of the project. Independent panels of industry experts consider achievements against company size, and search for entries that clearly demonstrates innovation and ground-breaking ideas.

The awards ceremony will take place at a gala dinner on Monday May 21st

2018 at The Vox Conference Centre, Birmingham. Please come and join us!
